Something from my QT about Kindness.

Psalm 41:1-3

For the director of music. A psalm of David.

1 Blessed is he who has regard for the weak;
the LORD delivers him in times of trouble.

2 The LORD will protect him and preserve his life;
he will bless him in the land
and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

3 The LORD will sustain him on his sickbed
and restore him from his bed of illness.

Kindness is literally love in action, showing genuine friendship to others by regarding them as important in God's sight and worthy of dignity and respect. It involves treating others with courtesy, lending enocuragement, and freely offering yourself or your resources to help a person in need, no strings attached.

well, i hope that since our group is called Kindness, we can try and emulate some of the qualities of being Kind.

oh we are having trouble finding a place for retreat. any suggestions?
so far aranda, changi point, 3rd place, the kovan house, sentosa chalets, NSRCC are all fully booked for july.

Umad4 was a tiring experience for me with all the planning for games and rooming. BUT it also drew me closer to God... ...

Just 2 weeks before umad with all the last minute preparations, i also had a lot of work (both school and office!) to complete. I really felt very tied down and stressed and i didn't have any passion.

One night during QT i was looking through my journal and i was drawn to this page cos i drew an eagle there and i thought my eagle looked very nice. :) so i read what was noted beside this eagle and saw this verse that i had noted down during service (19/2/2006)..

Isaiah 40:30-31
Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

This verse reminded me not to rely solely on my own strength but to rely on God's strength. Our God is one who can be fully depended on and he gives us strength and power. He will help us soar above and fly away when we are tired and weary..

So if ever you are tired and feel bogged down with your school work and cca.. remember this verse and trust in the Lord. :)

Deuteronomy 31:8
the lord goes before you and will be with you .
he will never leave you nor forsake you. do not be afraidor discouraged.

UMAD4- passion

UMAD4 was fun, but most importantly, it allowed me to find my own passion and not to be too obsessed in my bad passion (found out how much time I had actually wasted during gp discussion). It was also a good experience in developin my confidence in facing a group of ppl and to sing. As a games committee, I realised how difficult it was to be one (phew! thk God I made it!) Really thk God for the good good weather- imagine if it rains, how are u goin to make it up d top n make it back to ur room? Also, if it rains, where will dere b such fun games? I will nv forgt d fun n happy moments we’ve had during d camp:) looking forward to UMAD5!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BOO! wah i posting first time. im HAPPY becos i came back from UMAD 4. jus wanna tell u guys that JON is really evil! =) but i learnt that passion has bad n good points. like

bullying tania = BAD passion
loving tania = GOOD passion

understand? passion is to pursue something u love without giving up. and i plan to do my devotion everyday. someone remind me! =)

P.S. I cannot go for both outings. Got wedding on Sat. and wedding on Sunday afternoon too. Nope, you guys are not invited. haha.
