A special msg from chai hwa regarding chapel camp:hi guys!
over the past 1 week or so, i've been swarmed with queries regarding grouping and rooming arrangement for chapel camp.
i understand that you're all excited to know, so, i'm releasing the grouping and rooming information for chapel camp ahead of the camp itself. but i'll like to ask for your understanding even as i've tried to be.
i know some of you will probably not be entirely happy with the arrangements. i'm very sorry about it.the groupings were mainly done to ensure a good mix of cym youths & bb boys, and the lone gb gal we have.
i know you love your fellow cym friends dearly, even more so your fellow cg members, but, i ask for your understanding that we are hosts to the bb/gb in this camp, and all of you play a very important part in ensuring that they feel welcome. some of them are also not Christians, and i hope that you will all try your best to show them the love of Christ, by being open to them, spend time with them, include them in what you do and share with them the Gospel of Christ.
also, this being a chapel wide camp, we will also have time to interact with the adults. i also hope that you will make an effort to get to know some of the adults. i understand that it is often very difficult and you probably struggle with what to say to the adults (i sometimes do too!). i think at least, if we make an effort to stick less with our 'cliques' and show that we want to interact, even if we don't really know how to, i'm sure the adults will notice that we're making an effort. this year's camp theme is 'we are worshippers'.
so, let's try to go for the camp with the right attitude, to see that loving our neighbours and our fellow brothers & sisters in Christ is a very, very key element of worship. at the camp, let's also give our best cooperation to our group leaders, the camp committee as well as the youth program committee, so that what's been planned will really go to enhance our worship of God at the camp.
meanwhile, just a note that there will be angel/mortal game at the camp, so, please come with your cards & gifts.
